(a) The product is prepared by a fermentation process from water with sugar and one or more of:
(i) fruit extractives or infusions; or
(ii) vegetable extractives or infusions; and
(b) contains no more than 1.15% alcohol by volume.
Some examples of brewed soft drinks are ginger beer, kombucha, and kefir.
